12 trainees to stay with the firm upon qualification in September

European law firm Fieldfisher is to retain all twelve of the firm's 2014 trainee cohort, upon qualification in September this year.

The twelve will qualify into six different practice areas – Dispute Resolution (2); Finance (1); Intellectual Property (4); Public & Regulatory (1); Tax (1) and Technology, Outsourcing & Privacy (3).

The announcement comes a short time after the firm announced its new strategy, with a renewed focus on Technology; Finance & Financial Services, and Energy & Natural Resources. Fieldfisher also recently announced a merger – effective 1st July 2016 - with Italian firm Studio Associato Servizi Professionali Integrati – SASPI – through a Swiss Verein agreement which sees the firm add offices in Milan, Rome, Venice and Turin, taking its international tally of offices to 13.

Edward Miller, Fieldfisher's training principal, said: "Qualification is a huge milestone in the career of every lawyer and I'd like to congratulate all twelve on their qualification. We're all delighted that they will be staying with the firm and look forward to seeing them progress."

The 100% retention rate adds to an already successful year for Fieldfisher, with the firm announcing earlier this month a 7% increase in firmwide revenues for the 2015/2016 financial year.
