European law firm Fieldfisher will formally merge with Spanish law firm JAUSAS on Wednesday 26th September. The merger is structured as a Swiss Verein with the firm's offices in Barcelona and Madrid adopting the name Fieldfisher JAUSAS.
JAUSAS is a top 30 firm in Spain with over 90 employees including 14 partners and 60 lawyers. It is led by Managing Partner Agustín Bou and last financial year had turnover of Euro 8.5 million.
52 years after the firm’s foundation, JAUSAS has established a solid reputation both in Spain and abroad. With offices in Barcelona and Madrid and a strong international reach, JAUSAS advises a wide variety of national and international companies, which in some cases have been working with the firm for decades.
Its key practices include corporate, competition, life sciences, litigation and arbitration, tax, employment, and IP. It also has a leading restructuring and insolvency team, which advises creditors and debtors on bankruptcy and restructuring agreements and business reorganisations. The firm's corporate/commercial and M&A team also advises on investment management and private equity and includes a China desk offering specialist services to an increasing number of Chinese investors.
