European law firm Fieldfisher has appointed three new partners, with two joining the firm's Düsseldorf office and one joining in Hamburg. All three join today, 1st September.
Marcus Kamp and Marcus Iske both join the firm's Employment practice and arebased in Düsseldorf, while Oliver Süme, a tech expert, joins the firm's Hamburg office.
Marcus Kamp and Marcus Iske both join the firm from DLA Piper's Cologne office. Marcus Kamp, counsel, is a certified specialist for labour law (Fachanwalt für Arbeitsrecht), with more than 15 years of professional experience advising domestic and international clients on day-to-day matters regarding individual and collective employment law issues, with a particular focus on restructurings, mergers and outsourcing projects, as well as on employment litigation and employee data protection. He's been at DLA Piper since 2006, having previously worked at Clifford Chance.
Marcus Iske was also based in DLA Piper's Cologne office, where he was a senior associate. He specialises in advising national and international clients around termination issues, contract draftings and negotiations. He also focuses on litigation regarding works council co-determination rights as well as on temporary work issues. He has been with DLA Piper since 2010, and spent time on secondment to the firm's Hong Kong office.
The appointment of Marcus Iske and Marcus Kamp strengthens the firm's widely recognised employment expertise in Europe, which was recently significantly boosted by the firm's merger through a Verein with Studio Associato Servizi Professionali Integrati (SASPI), the Italian firm with offices across Milan, Rome, Venice and Turin and which has particular expertise in employment amongst other areas.
Oliver Süme, a tech expert, also joins the firm today, having most recently been self-employed. Oliver is a certified IT lawyer, advising clients in the technology industry on IT contracts, data protection, IT security and e-commerce, as well as with regards to competition, employment and corporate issues. In addition, Oliver acts as vice president of Eco (www.eco.de), one of the most important business associations in the German digital business sphere, and President of its European umbrella association, the European Internet Service Providers Association (www.euroispa.org).
Oliver has extensive experience of advising both corporations and business associations, and his work with the latter has enabled him to have significant access to the changing legal frameworks and political influence around key developments in the technology industry, including Privacy Shield – the replacement for Safe Harbour – and the Digital Single Market.
Fieldfisher is well known as a leading advisor in the technology industry, advising clients across the globe on the full range of legal issues from its offices across Europe, Silicon Valley and Shanghai.
