European law firm Fieldfisher has hired Jayne Backett as a partner in the firm's Finance group. Jayne, who joins following an 11 year career with Mayer Brown, will focus on real estate finance.
Jayne has advised across the capital structure on numerous market leading European and UK real estate transactions. Jayne's experience ranges from financing real estate acquisitions and investments to advising on financing loan portfolios and real estate restructurings. Jayne has significant experience in complex development financings and her practice has involved representing banks, mezzanine lenders and sponsors on the funding of substantial construction and renovation projects, including ground-up and build-to-rent schemes.
Fieldfisher's real estate finance team includes experts across banking, derivatives, real estate, construction and tax and offers a seamless domestic and cross border service with real estate finance capabilities from its offices across Europe. The firm acts for more than fifty banks and other financial institutions from around the world.
