Fieldfisher wins role on the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s (SRA) inaugural general counsel panel.

European law firm Fieldfisher announces today its appointment as key advisers to the General Counsel Panel at the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).

Following a competitive tender process Fieldfisher has been appointed to the General Counsel panel for a 3-5 year term.

The General Counsel team was formed in 2015, to provide legal advice to the SRA.  It has an important role to advice on public law and regulatory issues, including judicial review, effective decision making and broader corporate support to the organisation.

The regulatory team at Fieldfisher will be advising the General Counsel on issues surrounding regulatory reform, policy development, and governance amongst a range of other issues.

As a firm who covers a broad range of services to a diverse range of industries with international reach, Fieldfisher is equipped with an in-depth understanding of the regulatory challenges businesses are faced with.

The team at Fieldfisher led by Sarah Ellson and Matthew Lohn are supported by a solid team of specialised colleagues in the Regulatory group, as well as experts in corporate, financial services, employment, technology, outsourcing and privacy.
