European law firm Fieldfisher has recruited Stefanie Greifeneder as a Partner and Andrea Veh as a senior associate, in its Munich office. Both join from Dentons, formally Salans and will both start their new roles in May 2013.  This follows last year's appointment of Dr. Cord Willhoeft, a market-leading regulatory expert.

Stefanie Greifeneder specialises in IP law in the life sciences sector, focussing on M&A and private equity transactions, as well as IP litigation. She also advises on license agreements, R&D contracts, commercial arrangements and the legal aspects of marketing strategies.

Stephanie was a Counsel at Salans and advised AXA PE on the IP and commercial aspects of the sale of Phoenix/Strack group to Curtiss-Wright.  Andrea Veh has worked with Stephanie for three years and specialises in IP, compliance and mediation.

Commenting on the appointment, Sibylle Schumacher, Office Managing Partner in Munich, said:

"Adding Stefanie to the team not only complements our IP practice in Germany but also expands our client offering to the Life Sciences sector.   She has exceptional IP and commercial expertise that will strengthen the breadth and depth of our team in Munich.

"IP is and will remain one of the core disciplines at Fieldfisher.  We plan to make more additions to this team in Munich going forward."

Stefanie Greifeneder says: “I am looking forward to starting my new role at Fieldfisher.  It provides the opportunity for me to be involved in the strategic development of IP practice group and work with truly committed colleagues.  I am also exited to be returning to Munich, as it's one of the most important locations for Life Sciences and IP in Germany. “

Fieldfisher offers comprehensive advice to companies active in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical devices in the legal fields of regulatory/competitioncommercialIP and litigation. Currently the German IP group comprises three partners and three associates in Munich and Hamburg.
