Fieldfisher hosts LGBT charity dinner

The LGBT group at Fieldfisher hosted a black tie charity dinner in support of Diversity Role Models, raising £5000 for the charity.

Diversity Role Models CEO, Suran Dickson delivered a talk about the ongoing work of the charity. Keynote speaker Claire Harvey, Paralympian and head of Corporate Responsibility at the Financial Services Authority, spoke about the challenges she faced and overcame as captain of the GB sitting volleyball team. She was also one of the few openly gay athletes at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Partner Michael Chissick said:

"It was a truly great night, enjoyed by all. We were privileged to have a GB athlete speak at the event and her talk was both moving and encouraging."

Trainee Solicitor and LGBT group member, Xavier Langlois, said:

"These events are important for raising awareness of the ongoing work of some great charities within the LGBT community."

The firm's LGBT group has hosted a number of events including an Interlaw Diversity Forum meeting and a diversity evening to better understand transgender issues..
