Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP has been appointed to the Government Procurement Service Legal Services framework Agreement following a rigorous competitive tendering process.
The firm has won places on six of the eight Lots available, namely:
- Lot 2 - Property & Estates
- Lot 3 - Employment & Pensions
- Lot 4 - General Corporate including Tax Insolvency
- Lot 6 - General Commercial
- Lot 7 - General Litigation and Legal Services
- Lot 8 - Complex Projects
The review and subsequent procurement was launched in September 2010 with the aim of reducing Whitehall's expenditure on legal instruction. The Framework Agreement comes into effect from 1 February 2013 and will run for an initial two year period.
Neil Palmer, head of the Public Sector Group at Fieldfisher who led on the firm's tender submission said:
