Fieldfisher dispute resolution partner Ellie Pinnells has been featured in The Lawyer's Hot 100 2022.
Based in the firm's Birmingham office, Ellie advises clients on a wide range of commercial disputes including breach of contract and negligence claims, construction disputes and competition follow-on damages claims.
Ellie has been recognised by The Lawyer Hot 100 as a "rising star" of Fieldfisher's litigation team and for her work in steering Fieldfisher's consumer-facing group litigation subsidiary, Roscoe Reid.
Alongside her busy litigation practice at Fieldfisher, Ellie secured national headlines for Roscoe Reid last September in a crucial first stage win in a group equal pay claim against supermarket chain, Morrisons.
Ellie is currently focusing on business interruption insurance group claims following the Covid-19 pandemic, including a claim for owners of childcare nurseries forced to close during the first national lockdown against the specialist insurance broker, Poundgate.
Ellie is also focusing on pursuing Fieldfisher's early mover advantage in handling group actions for corporate clients, as this type of high value litigation work begins to gain traction in the UK.
Having qualified in 2010, Ellie previously worked at Reed Smith & Hill Hofstetter (both predecessors of Fieldfisher. She was made a partner at Fieldfisher in 2020.
Born and educated in Germany, Ellie is a fluent German speaker.
