PACE 2016 Conference - #Fitforlife

More than 100 attendees enjoyed a full programme of presentations by both clinical experts and amputee patients at Pace Rehabilitation’s annual conference recently.

This year’s event was titled ‘Fit For Life’ and as Dr Bhaskar Basu (Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine) explained in his introduction, “The focus of the day is providing the patient with the best opportunity to return to life and to living, following life changing injuries.”

The programme commenced with Pace physiotherapist Carolyn Hirons explaining the importance of fitness and exercise.  Underpinning her presentation, Carolyn was joined on stage by below-the-knee amputee patient Lisa Eagleton, who was certainly put through her paces with fitness exercises and drills.
