The coffee morning is Macmillan's biggest fundraising event, where they ask people across the UK to hold a coffee morning and raise money for people living with cancer. In 2013, 154,000 people signed up, raising a record £20 million. Macmillan offer support to anyone diagnosed with cancer, from talking to specialists to getting help with benefits and applying for grants.
As you can see, the event generated a lot of interest and the standard of cakes was very high, but we are hoping that no-one needs help being rolled out the main entrance at the end of today!
Andrew Morgan, partner in Fieldfisher's Mesothelioma and Asbestos Claims Department said "We are strong supporters of Macmillan, whose help is invaluable and essential for many cancer sufferers, our clients amongst them. Every one of our mesothelioma clients benefits, either directly or indirectly, from the work that Macmillan does. This coffee morning is an excellent way of acknowledging Macmillan's role and getting people involved on behalf of all those affected by cancer. We are proud to support it."
