Fieldfisher have supported Action Mesothelioma Day since its inception and we are so pleased that it was able to go ahead this year despite the need for social isolation. Members of our team all logged in to support virtual events held by the Victim Support Groups.
The Greater Manchester Asbestos Victim Support Group held its first Zoom meeting successfully, and members of the group along with solicitors were happy to see each other again after several months.
Following this, Mesothelioma UK hosted the UK Mesothelioma Alliance live Facebook meeting, which took place with very inspirational presentations from Mavis Nye and Paul Cook and insights on treatment from Sarah Morgan, Mesothelioma Clinical Nurse Specialist, Professor Sanjay Popat, Consultant Thoracic Medical Oncologist and David Gold, Vice President of IOSH.

The Merseyside Asbestos Victims Support Group and Readley Asbestos Support and Awareness Group in the North East braved the weather for their Dove release. Later today, the Gateshead Millennium Bridge will be lit up in blue to mark the day.
