Cycling Accident, Old Street
A cyclist is believed to have suffered serious injuries after an accident in the Old Street area of London on Sunday. The accident happened when an articulated lorry turned left across the path of the cyclist, causing life-threatening injuries.
The cyclist, believed to be a woman in her fifties, is said to have lost a leg at the scene of the accident but is now said to be in a stable condition in hospital. Police have arrested the lorry driver on suspicion of dangerous driving.
