A lucky escape – helmet cam video shows the danger of cycling in London

The Evening Standard has reported on how a cyclist had a lucky escape after a car turned right across his path and after tossed him up in the air. Jack Thoburn had woken up that day wondering how he would be travelling to work and on another day would have taken the train. In spite of wearing bright clothing a car turned right across his path of travel.

What happens next is quite frightening as both Mr Thoburn and his bike are sent into the air. Incredibly the insurance company of the driver initially disputed liability about the damage to his bike but once Mr Thoburn sent them his video he received a cheque three weeks later.
