Seven figure compensation for pedestrian after serious road traffic accident

This was a tragic case where Alice's life was changed irretrievably by a few moments inattention by a young driver.

Alice was crossing a zebra crossing on a road close to her house when a vehicle failed to stop and drove into Alice at speed. The young driver admitted she wasn’t paying attention and, as such, a full admission of liability was quickly secured.

Alice sustained multiple serious fractures to her leg and ankle, soft tissue injuries to her left shoulder, chest wall and breast and severe psychiatric injuries namely post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment disorder and depressive episodes.

Before the accident Alice worked at an international brand name and her job involved a lot of international travel. Her injuries had an impact on her ability to travel and left her with difficulties progressing in the industry. She was highly regarded by all who worked with her.

During the course of the case Alice also had a child which posed difficulties, in particular, due to the fear of hospitals she developed as a result of her trauma.

Partner Peter Williams and Associate Jennifer Buchanan arranged for a full rehabilitation regime to be put in place and a fantastic settlement was achieved which included future care and assistance, ongoing psychiatric treatment and further surgery. This will give Alice, her partner and her children financial security now and in the future.
