Values
We also stand passionately for justice. The firm's founder, Edwin Wilkins Field, lived an enterprising life of legal reform. The modern day Fieldfisher is enriched with these values, and the firm goes out of its way to make inaccessible justice accessible through its Just Purpose programme.
'All elements of the firm are encouraged to innovate and collaborate, that gives a real energy to the place' - Andy Hood, Regulatory Partner, London
'It is great being in a firm which "gets" cross-office working – to feel properly part of a national team and to work with colleagues in other specialisms who are unconstrained by geography' – Charlotte Round, Finance Partner, Manchester
'There's an enormous will to do great things together and help our clients go further. We live up to our catchphrase: "A law firm built around people"' – Rodrigo Martos, Corporate Partner, Head of the Madrid office.
Benefits
Fieldfisher's benefits package is designed to support and enrich our people. After all, they are the core of what we do.
In terms of core benefits that everyone is entitled to, we are particularly proud of our parental leave policies, offering above statutory maternity leave (26 weeks at full pay plus 13 weeks statutory) and four weeks fully paid paternity leave. We understand how important having a supportive workplace is when starting (or expanding!) a family, and are happy to help our staff on that journey.
Our other core benefits are:
Holiday – our generous annual leave package allows employees to buy or sell up to three days' holiday a year
Health insurance – This includes free GP appointments and eye tests
Pension – new employees receive 4% matched contribution by default. You can increase contributions, and the firm will match to 5%
Life assurance
Income protection
Season ticket loans
Bike to work loans
We also offer a range of corporate discounts and our TasteCard, which gives employees access to amazing deals at a range of restaurants and cinemas across London.
When you become eligible for these benefits varies. Most start when you join, or after your probation. We’ll fill you in on the details when you join.
