Fieldfisher hosts Employment Law Review of the Year

On Thursday, 30th January we continued our 2020 events program with 'The Whopper Employment Law Review of the Year'. Held at the Merrion Hotel, attendees were treated to an interesting and topical presentation which looked at major developments in case law and employment legislation in 2019

Speakers were Barry Walsh (Partner, Employment) and Julie Austin (Partner, Employment) along with Kate Hawthorn (Solicitor, Employment)

They spoke on a number of issues including:

• Legal representation at work place hearings
• Reasonable workplace accommodation for disabled employees,
• Zero working hour's legislation
• Gender pay gap reporting
• Mandatory retirement
• Family leave legislation
