The National Deaf Children's Society is the leading charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people.

There are more than 45,000 deaf children in the UK and four more children are born deaf every day. 90% of deaf children are born to hearing parents with little experience of deafness.

NDCS are there for families when they need support the most, from their child’s first diagnosis right until they reach young adulthood.

  • They help families to plan for the future and to support their deaf child

  • They empower deaf children and young people to feel confident and reach their full potential

  • They campaign to ensure that deaf children get the right support as they grow up

Along with providing office facilities for NDCS to carry out staff training, Fieldfisher provides comprehensive pro bono services to NDCS and the children they support. From our lawyers representing families before education appeal tribunals to ensure that deaf children get the right support at school, to providing advice to the charity on commercial contract issues.

This long-term relationship goes from strength to strength, helping numerous children and young adults.
