Fieldfisher attends All Wales Lung Cancer Forum "Living with Lung Cancer"

Fieldfisher Senior Associate Bridget Collier recently attended the All Wales Lung Cancer Forum "Living with Lung Cancer" conference. Around 80 delegates were in attendance at The Village Hotel in Swansea.

Dr. Gareth Collier, Consultant Respiratory Physician, presented a fascinating talk on the lung cancer diagnostic pathway.  Dr. Ceri Powell, Oncology Consultant, then spoke about emerging treatments and improving the outcome of the oncological management of lung cancer.

Palliative Care Consultant Dr. Nikki Pease gave a talk presenting her hints and tips for having difficult conversations. Following Dr. Pease, Rachel Gemine, Grant and Innovation Manager for the Clinical Research Centre at Prince Philip Hospital, then spoke about lung cancer research.

Sarah Morgan, a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Mesothelioma UK, gave attendees an update on mesothelioma. The event ended with a patient story presented by Carol Davies and Emma Williams, Lung Cancer Nurse Specialists from Neville Hall Hospital.

Fieldfisher held a raffle prize draw at the conference. Bridget Collier was delighted to present Emma King, a Lung Cancer Nurse from University Hospital of Wales, with her prize of a lovely bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne.
