Jonathan Wright, Partner, Real Estate, Fieldfisher

I am a partner in our real estate team with a broad practice, encompassing all aspects of commercial property as well as residential property development. I also advise operators and funds in both the solar and wind generation sectors.

I have particular expertise in complex development projects advising developers and landowners on both commercial and residential schemes, and large corporate occupiers in acquiring space in development schemes. I acted for the main funder on the original financing of the Ricoh Arena in Coventry in 2006.

I have undertaken a number of complex development projects for clients in the healthcare sector. I acted on one of the first PFI/PPP projects in the UK healthcare sector - advising a US company on the property and construction aspects of a new diagnostic treatment centre.

I have been ranked in Chambers UK since 2014, with the 2015 edition describing me as being ""incredibly pragmatic" and as "the guy who can explain things to me on my level, managing to make it simple and present a realistic strategy that is attractive to both parties.""

I have been a member of the Investment Property Forum since 2007.

I have recently lectured at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors on the subject of Overage in the context of property development.

I am a keen supporter of voluntary causes in my spare time, and I have been chair of trustees for a pre-school educational charity since 2010. I became a trustee-director of national charity LIFE in 2015, the largest pro-life charity in the United Kingdom. I continue to play football regularly, and enjoy watching football of a better standard at Liverpool FC.
