Robin Tutty, Consultant, Finance
I have been a partner in leading City law firms for more than 30 years. I specialise in advising companies facing uncertain futures and in business recovery and non-contentious insolvency matters.
I joined Fieldfisher as a partner in 2007 and was responsible for the development of the cross-departmental restructuring and insolvency group. I now operate as a consultant to the firm, delivering advice on high value matters and concentrating on client advisory work.
I advise on the formulation of complex re-structuring plans and the preparation and negotiation of standstill agreements, re-structuring agreements and the re-statement of inter-creditor agreements. In the current economic climate a significant part of my practice involves advising clients whose businesses are being affected by the insolvency of their customers and suppliers in order to mitigate the effects of insolvency and structuring arrangements to minimise the insolvency risk.
I have provided advice on insolvency related issues to government and quasi-governmental bodies and in relation to regulated enterprises in the financial services, banking, travel and transport sectors and on the applicable special administration regimes to which some are subject.
I have spoken at seminars on a wide range of insolvency matters including the cross-border implications of the insolvency of financial institutions and the recognition of overseas office holders in the UK and European jurisdictions. I am a member of R3 and INSOL and was identified as a 'Leading Individual' in Chambers 2010.
