Vicky Reinhardt, Associate, Commercial IP
Since joining the commercial IP department of Fieldfisher in 2007, I have been advising German and English speaking clients on a broad range of franchising and licensing issues, as well as other forms of commercial distribution arrangements such as supply and agency agreements.
A considerable part of my work focuses on advising franchisors in relation to the international roll-out of their franchise businesses in Europe, South East Asia and the CIS.
In addition, I have been involved in transactions for clients in the hospitality sector, advising them on negotiations in respect of hotel franchise as well as hotel management agreements.
My sector focus ranges from the hotel and leisure and food and beverage sector to the services sector.
I spent several months on secondment to the global patents and technology group of BP International Ltd. as well as BP Oil UK Limited where I advised on a variety of commercial agreements.
I regularly contribute to our franflashes providing our franchisor clients with updates about legal developments in key markets. I am also the co-author of an article on changes to the legislative framework of franchising in China which was published in the International Journal of Franchising Law.
I originally qualified as a lawyer in germany and cross-qualified in England and Wales when I moved to the UK in 2008.
Most of my spare time is spent with my young family or reading crime novels.
