Hannah Rowbotham, Director, Banking and Asset Finance
I am a director in the finance group with a broad range of experience advising banks and other financial institutions.
I specialise in asset finance, in particular in the wealth management field advising lenders (and borrowers) on the purchase and financing of corporate aircraft and yachts.
I also regularly act for lenders such as Silicon Valley Bank in respect of the loan and security documentation relating to receivables finance in the technology and life sciences space.
The majority of the transactions which I work on are multi-jurisdictional. For example, I recently advised J.P. Morgan International Bank in relation to a US$45,000,000 secured term facility to finance the pre-delivery acquisition of a Gulfstream G650 aircraft. This involved a number of jurisdictions including the Isle of Man (the jurisdiction of registration of the aircraft), Bermuda (the jurisdiction of incorporation of the borrower), and the Cayman Islands, Jersey and Guernsey (being the jurisdictions of incorporation of the various shareholders and guarantors involved in the transaction).
I am the editor of the finance group's quarterly email bulletin, The Finance Brief, which is distributed to clients in the private banking sector. I have also contributed to a number of the firm's publications including A guide to Yacht Finance and Taking security over aircraft from a lender’s perspective.
I have been named in the Legal 500 (2012) as 'very responsive and not easily flustered'.
I speak conversational French and in my spare time I can be found making the most of living in central London - both culturally and socially!
