Alix Rejman, Director, Public Regulatory
I am a Director with over nine years experience advising clients on disciplinary, regulatory and public law issues.
My clients include private individuals, commercial organisations and public and royal charter bodies across a variety of industry sectors including public, healthcare, life sciences, policing, financial and retail.
I have particular expertise in relation to issues of vires, governance, statutory interpretation including EU legislation as well as drafting constitutional documentation and disciplinary schemes. I have extensive experience acting in judicial reviews and appeals in tribunals, the High Court and Court of Appeal as well as investigating and preparing cases for disciplinary tribunals on behalf of both the regulators and the regulated. I also have experience of proceedings in the European Court of Justice.
Recently I have been providing cross-jurisdictional advice to a large retail organisation in relation to the statutory schemes for the provision of NHS pharmaceutical and ophthalmic services.
During a previous 17 month secondment I gained invaluable in-house experience dealing with all the client's senior police officer disciplinary cases. Additionally I have been instructed by various police forces in relation to criminal proceedings in healthcare settings.
I have also assisted the public and regulatory law group's market leading inquests and inquiries team with the collation, review and preparation of evidence to several public inquiries.
I am a speaker at both external and internal training seminars and a contributor to the firm's public and regulatory law blog.
I am a member of the Association of Regulatory & Disciplinary Lawyers (ARDL).
Away from the office my time is spent relaxing with family and friends and when I am feeling a bit more energetic I enjoy walking, cycling and snowboarding.
