Toby Price, Senior Associate, Finance
I am a senior associate in the banking and asset finance team at Fieldfisher with experience of advising a diverse range of banks and other financial institutions, ranging from UK clearing banks to overseas lenders and funds, on a broad range of domestic and international financings.
I regularly act for clients in respect of real estate financing matters, including hotel, investment and development financings. I also have extensive experience of general corporate lending and advising lenders on restructuring and enforcement issues, with particular expertise in the transactional elements of consensual corporate insolvency and restructuring funding arrangements made available to charities.
I have written as a sole author for Butterworths Journal of International Banking and Financial Law in respect of charity finance and the issues faced by lenders in successfully structuring loan and security packages in this sector. I also regularly deliver targeted legal training to lenders, with an emphasis on the development of their operational support functions and market awareness for customer facing teams, in order to enable both front and back office functions to best support their businesses.
I have been seconded to the legal teams of both a UK clearing Bank and a leading ethical lender, based in the Netherlands. My secondment experience has given me a valuable insight into how lenders, both large and small, work and I believe it is crucial to use this experience to help deliver advice which takes into account the demands faced by our clients.
When not at my desk I can be found back on the farm in Dorset, hiking or out on my bike.
