I am an associate in the corporate department of London office. I am a member of the firm's Russia & CIS group and have extensive experience in advising Russian-speaking clients from the CIS region on corporate and commercial matters. I am qualified to practise law in Russia and England and Wales.
I am providing assistance in a variety of transactional areas, including M&A, joint ventures, international group reorganisations and merger control. I acted for clients in a number of cross-border corporate and corporate finance transactions in the oil & gas sector. I have experience in the project management of international acquisitions, including cooperation with counsels outside of the UK. I also assist the dispute resolution team with LCIA arbitration and litigation involving major Ukrainian and Kazakh corporations.
My recent projects include acting for JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production in respect of US$1.95 billion tender offer launched by the company for its GDRs and shares and proposed delisting from the Official List of the London Stock Exchange and the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange. Prior to the proposed delisting I advised the company on various compliance matters with respect to its GDRs listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. I also advised JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production on acquisition of 49% interest in JSC Karpovskiy Severniy from MOL Group and acted for KMG Kashagan B.V. in connection with a US$1bn oil prepayment facility with respect to Kashagan oil field.
I was born and raised in Russia and previously worked in one of the largest professional services firms in Moscow and an international law firm in the City. I graduated from Moscow State Law Academy with honours and obtained an LL.M. degree with Merit from Queen Mary, University of London.
