I advise clients on a range of employment law matters. I regularly advise on projects including business restructuring, in/outsourcing and changing contract terms, as well as day-to-day personnel issues such as disciplinary and grievance procedures, managing absences and poor-performers, termination of employment and contract and policy reviews. I also advise on all employment aspects of business sales and acquisitions.
I have experience of advising clients on a wide range of Tribunal claims at all stages, including on complex issues such as discrimination, whistleblowing and working time, as well as unfair/constructive dismissal and breach of contract.
I regularly deliver public and bespoke training seminars to clients on a range of employment law issues.
I was ranked as an ‘Associate to Watch’ in Chambers and Partners Guide 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Recent projects that I have worked on include:-
Advising a client in the manufacturing sector on effecting a major programme of changes to terms and conditions to employment of approximately 150 employees. Providing advice on the collective information and consultation and procedure and negotiations with the recognised trade union, as well as strategic advice on the proposed termination and re-engagement of employees and threatened industrial action arising from the proposed changes.
Representing a client in the rail sector in a complex class action relating to the alleged incorrect payment of holiday pay over a number of years. The case involved an untested point of law and had significant ramifications for our client and employers in the UK.
