Davina Bentley, Associate, Dispute Resolution
I am an associate solicitor advocate in the dispute resolution team with nearly four years’ post qualification experience of advising on a wide range of commercial issues.
I have particular expertise in complex matters and have advised on a number of financial services litigations against major banks, technology cases and art law disputes.
My expertise includes working on arbitrations, in particular those with an international element. I am a member of the Young International Arbitration Group and participate in their yearly expert cross-examination training.
My notable cases include acting for noteholders in a dispute with the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation over the expropriation of notes, following an exchange offer for new notes which were valued at much less than the existing notes.
I have co-authored a front cover article for the New Law Journal on directors’ liabilities following insolvency, as well as articles for the Commercial Litigation Journal on the relationship between social media and litigation and unfairness under the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
In my spare time I can be found attempting stand-up comedy and running.
