I am a partner specialising in brand management, with almost 20 years' experience helping businesses to promote and commercially exploit their brands and other intellectual property.
I am also a leading franchise lawyer and co-head our franchise and licensing practice, supporting many household names as they expand both domestically and overseas using franchising formats. I work with a broad range of clients in a variety of sectors including retail, food and beverage, hotels and leisure and general services.
As head of the firm’s advertising and marketing group, I work with clients to develop goodwill in their brand, specifically advising on all forms of marketing communication and promotional activity including clearing campaigns, writing sweepstakes rules, drafting agency contracts, merchandising, sponsorship and brand extension contracts.
I am a consultant editor on the editorial board of LexisNexis' PSL online publication and also contribute content for the commercial section of that publication – primarily on the topic of advertising and marketing and franchising. I am the only UK lawyer to be ranked by the legal directory Chambers UK 2014 as a leading expert in both franchising and advertising and marketing.
I am rated as a leader in my field by both the Chambers UK legal directory and An International Who's Who of Franchise Lawyers (Law Business Research).

My spare time is spent with my family and, as an FA licensed coach, I train and manage a youth football team with varying success.
