The financial services industry has rarely undergone such upheaval as it has done in recent years. Unprecedented market conditions and a wave of new financial regulation has changed the shape of the financial services industry, forcing institutions to re-evaluate their business models and challenging the risk and reward profiles of many types of banking transactions.
In our finance group we provide expert advice on a wide variety of international and domestic banking and finance transactions, including acquisition finance, asset finance, bank reorganisations, business recovery and insolvency, derivatives, financial disputes, financial regulation, funds finance, private banking and wealth management, real estate finance, receivables and asset based lending, structured finance and trade finance.
We have many years of experience in advising global investment banks, international and domestic banks, asset managers, investment funds (retail, institutional and alternative), private equity sponsors, other financial institutions, industry bodies, sovereign entities, corporate end-users and ultra high net worth individuals.
Our finance lawyers have the experience, expertise and commerciality to ensure that the advice we provide is always focused on achieving our clients' objectives. Technical excellence is the hallmark of our finance lawyers. We also have plenty of common sense. We deliver advice and documents that are clear, concise and understandable.
Clients enjoy working with us: we are known for our pragmatic, innovative, solutions-led approach. On each transaction we ensure that we select a team of lawyers with the right skills and level of experience. We don't leave junior lawyers unsupervised. When we say 'partner-led', we mean it.
Our finance lawyers’ expertise is complemented by the expertise of other departments throughout our firm, including Financial Services, Tax, Corporate Finance, Real Estate, Intellectual Property, Technology and Dispute Resolution, with advice provided seamlessly across our European offices.
