With its strength as a financial centre and access to global funding, London has established itself as one of the most important technological eco-systems in Europe. We have seen the success of Tech City and other tech hubs evolving around London and elsewhere. Funding initiatives, such as the £10bn biotech fund recently proposed by Boris Johnson, also demonstrate the continued appetite for growth in the technology and innovation sector, in particular in life sciences and healthcare.
