We cover a broad range of sectors, with our lawyers well placed to advise on transactions in the natural resources, technology, financial institutions, retail and leisure, real estate, transport and life sciences sectors.
We have a strong international focus, having acted for many overseas companies seeking a primary or secondary listing in the UK. Our international expertise, as well as our experience advising on corporate mergers and acquisitions (whether public takeovers or private transactions), means we are capable of providing in-depth and comprehensive advice on all aspects of corporate activity undertaken by our clients.
Our group was named AIM Team of the Year at the Growth Company Awards in 2007 and shortlisted in 2009 and 2011. We were ranked in the top band for AIM work by Chambers & Partners in 2012 and 2013, and acted on 48 equity market transactions with a combined deal value of over £1 billion in 2012.
Notable deals / highlights
- Acted for Strand Hanson and Mirabaud Securities on the admission of Lekoil to AIM and placing to raise $50m, one of the largest fundraisings of 2013. Lekoil holds oil and gas exploration assets in Nigeria and Namibia.
Advised AIM-quoted oil and gas exploration and production company President Energy, on a placing, subscription and open offer raising approximately $44.85m. The funds are to be used to acquire initial working interests in two oil and gas concessions in Paraguay.
Advised Avocet Mining, the gold mining and exploration business, on its move from AIM to trading on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market with a market capitalisation of £450m, and on the disposal of its South East Asian assets worth $200m.
Advised Kemin Resources on its £40m acquisition of 90% of the participatory interests in JV Kazakh-Russian Mining Company and admission of the ordinary share capital of the enlarged group to trading on AIM. JV Kazakh-Russian Mining Company holds two sub-soil use contracts for the exploration and production of molybdenum, wolfram and copper in the Kostani region of Kazakhstan.
Advised Rangers International Football Club on its placing, offer to the public and admission to trading on AIM with a market capitalisation of £45m.
