Our Technology and Data team at Fieldfisher Belgium wrote a new article on the EU Digital Single Market.

Tim Van Canneyt, Olivier Proust, Sixtine Crouzet, Louis Vanderdonckt, Eliot Sanam Ilung, and Naomi Capelle  present the state-of-play of the EU's key legislative proposals in the field of data protection, artificial intelligence, digital services and cybersecurity.
As one of the EU's top priorities, the ambition is to develop the EU into a single digital market and to make it "fit for the digital age". Determined to make this Europe's “Digital Decade”, the EU Commission has made several legislative proposals with a view to strengthening Europe's digital sovereignty

In this article, our Technology and Data team provides  a timeline and description of new laws that came into force. They look into the future to see how the field of privacy is progressively evolving towards a new area that we like to call: "digital law".
