The Human Brain Project

The BBC has reported on a new project designed to greatly improve our understanding of how the human brain works. One of the aims of the 10 year project is to be able to perform a draft simulation of the human brain using the supercomputers of tomorrow. In addition to this, scientists hope to gain a greater understanding of the basis of brain injuries, and with this be able to diagnose and treat brain disorders much more effectively.
