London and Manchester Personal Injury, Medical Negligence and Asbestos Claims teams shine in Chambers 2020

Fieldfisher's Personal Injury and Medical Negligence teams once again achieved stand-out results in this year's Chambers rankings. Heads of departments Paul McNeil and Jill Greenfield maintained star individual status, with four partners – Jenny Urwin, Andrew Morgan, Peter Williams and Samantha Critchley – ranked band 1. Seven additional partners were listed within bands 2-4.

The Asbestos Claims team was described as a 'market leader'. Clients described 'an amazing firm' which went 'above and beyond for me' and as 'really sensitive to my plight'. The team was praised for' finding constructive ways to push the boundaries'. Andrew Morgan was described as 'committed… brave and willing to take on difficult cases', Peter Williams as 'very empathetic to his clients' and Dushal Mehta as 'extremely hard-working and willing to take on difficult cases'.

Fieldfisher's Manchester Medical Negligence team was described as 'absolutely faultless'…'incredibly organised' and 'very collaborative'. Individually, clients report that Claire Horton is a 'fantastic solicitor who makes clients feel at ease; Jenny Urwin as "extremely impressive clinical negligence litigator who is always very on top of the facts and the law'. Julia Hamilton and Lindsay Holt were described as 'very good with clients' and 'very easy to work with'.

The 'top notch' London Medical Negligence team was described as 'superb… highly organised and proactive' and as 'leaving no stone unturned. Clients describe Senior Associate Arti Shah as 'really excellent'… meticulous and shows compassion and genuine care' and Caron Heyes as 'an outstanding and empathetic lawyer with a huge breadth of expertise'.

Partner Iona Meeres-Young was called 'really strong', Jane Weakley as 'amazing', Jonathan Zimmern 'a superb lawyer' and Mark Bowman as 'very talented and is measured, balanced and excellent'. Head of department Paul McNeil was described as a 'really strong lawyer… with a calming effect' and Sam Critchley as 'hugely impressive… and really knows the area inside and out'.
