Mesothelioma case settled within three months of being instructed

Mr Kiely v. James Walker & Company

Mr Kiely contacted us in July 2007, having been diagnosed with Mesothelioma.  His only exposure to asbestos took place when he worked for James Walker & Company Limited, Woking, Surrey.  He was employed by the company twice: from about 1955/56 to 1957, as an assistant guillotine operator, and from about 1960 until about 1961 as a guillotine operator.  Following his retirement, Mr Kiely moved to Barrow in Furness, Cumbria.  In accordance with our practice of meeting clients in person, Michael Osborne visited Mr Kiely on his home on 13 August.  Settlement of his claim was reached, without proceedings having to be issued, at full value on 18 October, under three months after being instructed to pursue a claim.
