Fieldfisher advises Evros on its €80m sale to Eir

Fieldfisher recently acted as legal advisor to Evros Technology Group on its recent €80m sale to Eir.  Established in 1990, employing over 450 people, Evros supplies, implements and supports IT infrastructure, and in 2020 generated revenue of approx. €91m.  
 
The new entity will seek to develop natural synergies between the two businesses, and strengthen Eir's portfolio of enterprise communication services, with leading voice, data, mobile and managed services now complemented by best in class IT services.
 
This transaction, subject to clearance from the Consumer Protection Commission, will create Ireland's leading communication and IT services portfolio, helping Eir deliver on its strategy to build Ireland's best network and deliver a comprehensive service portfolio which meets all its' customer's digital needs into the future.
 
Feilim O'Caoimh (Partner and Head of Corporate and Commercial) led the Fieldfisher team on this transaction, supported by Conor Folan, Jamie Woodcock, Daniel Faulkner and Teodora Puiu.  Julie Austin advised in respect of employment and GDPR matters, and Neil Dineen advised on property related issues.
